We often hear to put God first in our lives, but we don’t often quite understand what this means. Is it referring to a religious deity? A spirit in the sky? In order to understand this and truly put it into practice consciously is to first know the true essence of God. Its true essence is creative energy, faith in the unseen, your imagination, your thoughts, and your feelings.
When you look at it this way you realize that we’re interacting with God all the time. We are always putting God first. The better question is how are you interacting with God? Since “God” is simply a creative force of energy, you can interact with this energy on a high end or a low end. Thoughts, feelings and imagining things that make you feel fearful, worried and stressed is interacting with this creative force on a lower scale. However, when your thoughts, feelings and imagination make you feel empowered, inspired, and excited; you are interacting with God/The Universe on a much higher scale.
Sabotaging your Inner God-Force
In this day and age, we are not putting our Inner God first, at least not in a way that serves our highest good. We are putting our stresses first. In addition to that we also focus on:
- What people say on social media
- The opinions of our friends and family
- What we were taught in school
- News coverage
- Our circumstances
We are letting these things control us which leaves us little to no control over our own creative faculties.
So, to put God first simply means to use your creative faculties in a way that uplifts you and others. As I mentioned, your creative faculties are your thoughts, feelings and imagination. God, or whatever term you use to describe your Higher Power, gave you this ability for a reason. This is why the Bible states “God created us in Its image and likeness.” You are indeed a creator of your reality. It is time to learn how to consciously harness this power to create better lives for ourselves.
How do you consciously use these faculties? By choosing:
- The highest and most powerful thought
- Feeling the most exhilarating emotion
- To imagine the best outcome possible.
- Empowering these thoughts, feelings and visions with faith that the God of the Universe will bring your vision to pass the best way possible for the highest good of all who are involved.
Often times we wonder what is the best way to serve and honor God. This is it. The best way is to acknowledge the power; the creative faculties, that The Creator has bestowed within you and use it in its highest form. To consciously use these powers to create the best possible outcomes in your life. And once you awaken to this truth, you share it with the rest of the world so they too, may awaken to their creative powers.
